The mission of the CCDO is to promote comprehensive strategies to reduce crime and revitalize communities. CCDO helps communities help themselves, enabling them to reduce violent and drug crime, strengthen community capacity to increase the quality of life, and promote long-term community health and resilience. CCDO flagship program is the Weed and Seed which is a community-based strategy sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ); this an innovative, comprehensive multiagency approach to law enforcement, crime prevention, and community revitalization.

Al-Anon/Alateen

Al-Anon provides information on the effects of alcohol abuse and refers friends and families of alcohol abusers to nearby support groups. Al-Anon’s purpose is to help families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the problem drinking of a relative or friend. Alateen is the organization’s program for young people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking.
